Read this post to learn everything you need to know about visiting the 7 Magic Mountains located just outside Las Vegas!

This amazing art installation is located 10 miles south of Las Vegas Boulevard (the actual formations are in Henderson, NV). It took us about 20 minutes to get there from the strip, and was completely worth the trip! This amazing art work took 2 years to be created by Ugo Rondinone. We had a great time visiting the 7 Magic Mountains and taking pictures! I would highly recommend this as a stop in Vegas for some wholesome, free, fun.

Directions: Follow I-15 South leaving Las Vegas and get off on exit 25 to Sloan Road. Turn left onto Las Vegas Blvd and travel 7 miles going South. You will then see the rock formations on your left! Super easy to get there!

Parking: There is an onsite parking lot right in front of the rock structures. It is recommended that you park there and not on the main road. From the parking lot, it is a quick 60 second walk to see the rocks!

What you need to know: There are no bathrooms ANYWHERE near the 7 Magic Mountains. So if you are taking kids, hit the bathroom before hand! If you would like to know more about the artwork, there is an on-phone tour that you can call in on to be guided around the artwork. No tours or public transportation are located around the formations. The number for the tour is 702.381.5182.

Thanks for sharing – I found the colourful candy-like formations contrasted with the fairly bare landscape very interesting. Being from New Zealand its unlikely I would have known about these if I hadn’t read this post!
